As well as the symbol there is a signal word and suppliers provide numbered statements (H290 H314 H335) that give more information. At this concentration it will cause severe skin burns and eye damage and may cause respiratory irritation. It may also be corrosive to metals. Hydrochloric acid is a common laboratory chemical, used in a wide range of reactions, and is also used extensively in the chemical industry.
