Caption: Infrared timelapse footage of clouds over a field of barley (Hordeum vulgare). Infrared (IR) cameras record wavelengths of light longer than visible red, between the visible spectrum and the shortwave IR used in thermography. At these wavelengths, foliage is highly reflective and appears white, whereas the sky appears very dark. Shot with a Hoya R72 IR filter.
