Caption: Rectal tumour. Endoscope view of a tumour that has developed in the rectum. This is a villous adenoma, a benign (non-cancerous) growth in the lining of the rectum. It may develop into a malignant (cancerous) rectal cancer if left untreated. Villous adenomas are characterised by a cauliflower-like appearance and thick, elongated villi (finger-like projections).
