Caption: White mangrove (Laguncularia racemosa) in flower. Mangroves are tropical and subtropical plants that grow in saline coastal habitats. The flowers develop into fruits, with seeds that germinate while still on the tree. The resulting structure drops off the tree and floats to a new location before taking root. Photographed in the Galapagos Islands.
