Radiographer viewing a CT scan. Radiographer viewing an axial brain computed tomography (CT) scan on a display screen in a hospital radiology department. The patient being scanned is being attended to by another radiographer in the background. Computed tomography is an X-ray scanning technique that can produce 2D and 3D images of internal body tissues and structures. This CT scanner is the Genesis version of the Aquilion One scanner from Toshiba. A type known as an Area Detector CT scanner, it was introduced in 2016. Photographed in the UK.
