Caption: Mary Katherine Bryan (1877-1962), US plant pathologist. Bryan was educated at Stanford University, graduating in 1908. She then went on to work in the Bureau of Plant Industry at the US Department of Agriculture from 1909 to 1934. She also worked at the University of California. Her research included studies of plant diseases such as tomato canker.
