Caption: Mathilde Margarethe Lange (born 1888), US geneticist. Lange obtained her doctorate in zoology in 1920, while studying in Zurich, Switzerland. Her research was in experimental embryology. She then returned to the USA and worked as a professor at Wheaton College, Massachusetts, from 1921 to 1949.
