Caption: F-18 Hornet fighter jet refuelling. United States Navy (USN) McDonnell Douglas F/A 18F Super Hornet fighter jet refuelling in mid-air, being supplied through a fuel line trailed from a USAF KC-135 Stratotanker. The Hornet is part of USN Strike Fighter Squadron 213 (VFA-213, Blacklions). This refuelling took place off the coast of Scotland, as part of Exercise Saxon Warrior. This was a joint carrier strike group exercise between the military forces of the USA and the UK. The Stratotanker is part of the 100th Air Refueling Wing, based at RAF Mildenhall, UK. Photographed on 9 August 2017.
