Candida albicans infection in the skin folds under the breasts of a 60-year-old female patient. Inflammation in the skin folds is known as intertrigo, and is a result of warm, sweaty folds of skin rubbing repeatedly together. The affected area may blister and become infected; in this case infection with the yeast Candida albicans. Treatment is with anti-fungal medication.
