Caption: Parana River. This river, on the plateau of south central Brazil, is the second longest in South America, spanning a course of 4880 kilometres. Image taken on 3rd July 2007 by the MERIS (Medium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer) instrument aboard the Envisat satellite.
