Caption: Mask of Bacchus. Mask of the Ancient Roman god Bacchus, showing his hair decorated with vine leaves. Bacchus is the god of the grape harvest, winemaking and wine. This sculpture was found in the River Rhone at Arles, France, and is believed to have originally been part of a mausoleum for a local magistrate. Photographed at the Departmental Museum of Ancient Arles, France.
