Caption: Apollo 11 astronaut Edwin 'Buzz' Aldrin deploying the Passive Seismic Experiment Package, a part of a package of scientific equipment known as the Early Apollo Scientific Experiments Package (EASEP). Behind Aldrin's right hand is the Laser Ranging Retro-reflector. The photograph was taken by Apollo 11 commander Neil Armstrong. Apollo 11 was the first manned lunar landing mission. The lunar module (in background) touched down on the Moon on 20 July 1969, four days after launch.
