Caption: Apollo 12 astronaut photographing experiment. US astronaut Alan Bean, lunar module pilot for the Apollo 12 lunar landing mission, photographing the top of the Suprathermal Ion Detector Experiment (SIDE) experiment. The ribbon cable connecting the SIDE to the Central Station is at right. Apollo 12 was the second manned mission to land on the Moon, arriving in the Ocean of Storms on 19 November 1969. Astronauts Charles Conrad and Alan Bean made two excursions on the surface for a total of 7 hours 45 minutes.
