Caption: Apollo 12 astronaut Bean on the Moon. US astronaut Alan Bean, lunar module pilot for the Apollo 12 lunar landing mission, being photographed by mission commander Charles 'Pete' Conrad (seen reflected in Bean's visor). The Lunar Hand Tool kit is at lower left. Apollo 12 was the second manned mission to land on the Moon, arriving in the Ocean of Storms on 19 November 1969. Astronauts Charles Conrad and Alan Bean made two excursions (EVAs) on the surface for a total of 7 hours 45 minutes. This photograph was taken during the second EVA.
