Caption: Apollo 12 launch preparations. High-angle view at Launch Complex 39, Kennedy Space Center (KSC), showing the Apollo 12 rocket and spacecraft payload (lunar and command and service modules) on the way from the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) to Pad A. The Saturn V stack and its mobile launch tower are mounted on a huge crawler-transporter. Apollo 12 took place from 14-24 November 1969. It was the second manned mission to land on the Moon, with Charles 'Pete' Conrad and Alan Bean descending to the lunar surface on 19 November 1969.
