Caption: Cheetah (Acynonix jubatus) climbing off a tree. This big cat relies on stealth and speed to catch prey. It can reach a top speed of about 68 miles per hour. Found throughout non-forested areas of Africa south of the Sahara and in Arabia from Iran to Kazakhstan, the cheetah usually feeds on antelopes, young wildebeests and zebras. Photographed in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, South Africa.
