Caption: Frill-neck lizard (Chlamydosaurus kingii) displaying. This agamid lizard (dragon lizard) is found mainly in northern Australia and southern New Guinea. When frightened, in territorial displays and in courtship, it gapes its mouth - exposing the bright lining, spreads out its frill - displaying bright orange and red scale, raises its body and sometimes holds its tail above its body. Photographed in the Northern Territory, Australia.
