Gallium arsenide (GaAs)is a semiconductor material which is regarded as a potential successor to silicon as a base in the design of intricate, multi-layered integrated circuits. Research has proved that highly ordered C60 films can be grown on GaAs. In addition, crystals of C60 doped with potassium or rubidium have demonstrated superconductivity.
