Agios Neophytos is one of the best-known monasteries in Cyprus. It was founded by the monk Neophytos in the 12th century AD. Part of the complex consists of a cave excavated by Neophytos excavated, known as the 'Ekleistra', which had frescos painted on its walls between the twelfth and fourteenth centuries.
