Caption: Sea surface temperature, computer model. Computer simulation of sea surface temperature in the Southern Ocean. Cool water south of Africa is coloured white to grey (below 4 degrees Celsius), warmer water is coloured green (15 degrees), yellow (19 degrees), orange (24 degrees) and dark red (32 degrees). The Agulhas current is visible as a dark red swirl around the south and east of Africa. Produced in March 2008 by the Coupled Atmosphere Ocean Model at the NOAA Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory, Princeton University, USA.
