This scene is from the book Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea (1870), by the French author Jules Verne (1828-1905). The story is about adventures under the sea with Captain Nemo and his submarine Nautilus. Near the end of the story, a mysterious ship attacks the submarine, but is attacked in turn and sunk.
