Caption: Taylor, Kendall and Friedman, US and Canadian physicists. Richard Taylowr (b.1929, Canadian), Henry Kendall (1926-1999) and Jerome Friedman (b.1930) all conducted particle physics experiments with at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, USA. Their research provided the first experimental evidence that protons had an internal structure (later known to be quarks). This pioneering work earned Taylor, Kendall and Friedman and the 1990 Nobel Prize in Physics.
