Caption: Dipygus conjoined twins have the head and thorax completely merged, and the pelvis and lower extremities duplicated, thus they have one upper body with two lower bodies, (including the abdomen, pelvis and legs). There is also anecephaly, which is a cephalic disorder resulting from a neural tube defect that occurs when neural tube fails to close, resulting in the absence of a major portion of the brain, skull, and scalp.
