Caption: Chlodecone insecticide, molecular model. Chlodecone was used as an agricultural insecticide and ant and cockroach killer between 1966 and 1978, but was banned due to its health effects. Exposure can cause damage to the nervous system, reproductive system and liver, and may also cause cancer.
