Caption: Palau, satellite image. North is at top. Water is blue, vegetation is green, clouds are white, and shallow sand banks and coral atolls are light blue and white. This small grouping of four islands is in the region of the Pacific Ocean known as Micronesia. Three of the islands (from top to bottom: Babeldaob, Koror, and Peleliu) share the same barrier reef. Angaur is the small rocky island at lower left. The area shown here is around 100 kilometres across. Image data obtained by the Landsat 5 and Landsat 7 satellites.
