Researchers from German company Siemens have invented a miniature sensor that measures temperature, pressure and motion - transmitting these signals to a base station - all without the use of any external power source. The Magic Sensor can be used within almost any substance - gas, liquid, even solid. The first application will be measuring pressure inside car tyres.
