Computer experts at a Scottish university have produced a photograph of Elvis Presley at the age of 68. Professor David Perrett and Dr Bernard Tiddeman from the Perception Laboratory at St Andrews University developed software which reproduced the natural effects of ageing on the skin texture, hairline and hair colour. By starting with an image of Elvis in his early twenties, the software was able to manipulate these factors to create a vision of what Elvis would look like if he were alive today. There is a serious side to the work. The scientists believe the software could help in missing person cases.
