Scholars from the Islamic world between the 7th and 13th Centuries were some of the greatest scientists who ever lived. Yet most of the West has never heard of their achievements. Historians studying rare manuscripts today now recognise the importance of their work, much of which was hundreds of years ahead of its time. This was the Islamic Golden Age, and these men were the pioneering minds of their time.
