Hailed as the greatest compilation record ever released, MURMURS OF EARTH is the terrestrial version of the Voyager Interstellar Record. The original recording, fixed to NASA's Voyager spacecraft, was designed to communicate the diversity of Earth's cultures and life forms to any extraterrestrial intelligence that intercepts it. Compiled in the early 1970s, contributers were the then United Nations Secretary General Kurt Waldheim, US president Jimmy Carter, and Chuck Berry to name a few. As NASA will lose contact with the Voyagers in about 2015 we will have no way of knowing whether MURMOURS OF EARTH reaches its extraterrestrial audience. However, the entire recording has just been released worldwide. So, armchair space travellers can now purchase the compact disc and booklet of images as a boxed set for $54.00!
