Over-optimistic predictions by airline analysts in the 1980s have meant that many airlines now have too many airplanes and too few passengers. While companies wait for the passenger aircraft market to improve, they send their excess aircraft to Mojave airport. Managed by Dan Sabovich, Mojave is home to over 100 unwanted aircraft worth billions of dollars. Although some will be called back into service, others are destined never to take off again.
