The plasma processing technique developed by Dr Daniel Cohn and his colleagues og the Massachusette Institute of Technology in the US can handle waste products that conventional fire incinerators cannot. Contaminated soil, radioactive and hospital waste are turned into harmless lumps of glassy substrate. The process also creates little pollution and even provide a surplus of energy.
