Springer Medicine is part of Springer Verlag, a global publishing company. They have created a series of magnificent anatomical illustrations to accompany their medical publications. It is a comprehensive collection of medical images equivalent to a modern version of Gray's Anatomy.

He began as a photojournalist, but it was his pioneering work in medical and scientific photography in the 1960s that brought him universal recognition.
