Recurrent liposarcoma cancer. Close-up of the leg of a patient with recurrent liposarcoma. Liposarcomas are malignant (cancerous) tumours that arise in fat cells in deep soft tissue. They are typically large bulky tumours that have multiple smaller lumps extending beyond the main confines of the tumour. Like all sarcomas, liposarcomas are rare.
