Red flour beetle infested seeds. Seeds of the Barbados nut (Jatropha curcas) plant infested with red flour beetles (Tribolium castaneum). These seeds are used to extract oil for the production of bio-diesel. The red flour beetle is an agricultural pest that attacks stored grain products such as flour, seeds, cereals, pasta, biscuits, beans, nuts etc., causing loss and damage.
