Section of Eadweard Muybridge's panorama of San Francisco, 1877. View from Windows Looking South-West. Eadweard J. Muybridge (American, born England, 1830, 1904) was important for his pioneering work in photographic studies of motion and in motion-picture projection. He also took many famous photographs in Yosemite Valley. His 13-part 360 degree photographic panorama of San Francisco was famous and presented to the wife of Leland Stanford.
