Pig's heart. The heart of a pig is anatomically similar to that of a human. The heart is a hollow muscular organ that pumps blood around the body. There are four chambers inside the heart, two ventricles and two atria. At top are the heart's major blood vessels, taking blood to and from the lungs and the body. On the outside of the heart are the much smaller blood vessels supplying the heart muscle with blood.
