Waterfall. Scaglia formations of limestone rock at a small waterfall in the river Breggia. The Geoparc of the Breggia gorges in southern Ticino, Switzerland, is an open geology book, where some 200 million years of Earth's history unfold during a self-guided tour along 22 information booths along various river rock outcrops of the Mesozoic of 1.5 kilometre length. The Breggia gorges are internationally renowned, and are studied in stratigraphy, palaeogeography and palaeontology.
