Secondary syphilis rash on the glans of the penis in an adult male patient. Syphilis is caused by the Treponema pallidum bacterium transmitted through sexual intercourse with an infected person. About 6-12 weeks after infection, secondary syphilis occurs which includes a skin rash, headache, fatigue and fever.
