Prostate cancer radiotherapy planning. Radiologist examining the results of a volume study of a cancerous prostate gland, planning the position and dose of each radioactive implant to be used in treatment. A volume study involves using scans to produce a three-dimensional display of the organ being studied. Here, the different coloured rings show dose strength. The four displays on the screen show four different depths within the tumour. The procedure, known as brachytherapy, is a form of radiotherapy.
