Starbirth nebula. Hubble Space Telescope image of starbirth regions within nebula NGC 3603. A cluster of hot young stars (centre) has recently formed from gaseous material (brown) surrounding them. The huge gas pillars at upper and lower right are dense gas and dust which may condense into stars. This iamge spans 19 light years across. Image taken by the Advanced Camera for Surveys.
