Pyogenic granuloma on the finger of a 32-year-old woman. A granuloma is a mass of small blood vessels and connective tissue which forms due to chronic inflammation, after infection or due to the presence of a foreign body. Here, it is a pus-forming (pyogenic) granuloma that has formed due to the bacterial granulomatous disease botryomycosis, and so it is termed a botryomycoma.
