Artificial intelligence chip tested at CERN for use in space. Researchers testing Intel's Movidius Myriad 2 VPU chip, designed for uses that include artificial intelligence (AI). Here at CERN the device is being subjected to high-energy particles that it would be exposed to when used on spacecraft. CERN is the European particle physics laboratory. The test is being carried out for the European Space Agency (ESA) by the company Ubotica. Photographed on 16 November 2018.
