Blood cell manufacturing. Process to produce red blood cells (erythrocytes) from human stem cells. Stem cells are cells that have the potential to develop into any type of specialised cell. The tube on the right contains blood stem cells from a human umbilical cord. The tube on the left contains red blood cells after 20 days of development.
