ANEURYSM OF THE AORTA, 3D SCAN Angiography scanner 3D. Aortic aneurysm, type 2 (front view of the thoracic area). Dissecting aneurysm, or aortic dissection, is a longitudinal laceration of the aortic wall. The type 2 corresponds to an affection starting at the level of the ascending aorta. The veil of dissection starts at the bottom of the left subclavian artery and continues on the whole thoraco-abdominal aorta. The ascending thoracic aorta is not affected. The false channel (cylinder created by the lacerated part of the aorta) is clearly visible.
