The tooth encompasses an internal cavity, the pulp cavity, filled of dental pulp (in yellow), a conjonctive tissue rich in blood and lymphatic vessels as well as in nerve fibers. The pulp cavity pursues at the level of the roots by the canal roots, by which penetrate the vessels and nerves. The dentin (in pink) constitutes the main part of the tooth, and it confers its shape and rigidity ; it is striated of numerous small canals, dentinal tubules, that contain the extremities of the nerves.
