Scorpion on a tree trunk. Scorpions (Order Scorpiones) are arachnids, having eight legs and a body divided into two segments. They have powerful pincers (chelae, left and right) for killing prey, and a sting on the ned of their whip-like tail. Photographed in the Ecuadorian Amazon.
