Top down view of a click beetle (Athous haemorrhoidalis) resting on a grass blade in a woodland habitat. A slender beetle which is a member of the Elateridae family. If disturbed it can flick itself into the air making the click noise from which it gets its name. The beetle is found throughout Europe and Asia Photographed in Somerset, UK, in May.
