CST-100 Starliner launch, December 2019. United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket launching on 20 December 2019, carrying Boeing's CST-100 Starliner spacecraft into orbit from Space Launch Complex 41 at from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida, USA. Watching are (from left to right): Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, president and CEO of United Launch Alliance Tory Bruno, and NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine. This uncrewed Orbital Flight Test is part of the Crew Space Transportation (CST) programme. It launched at 06:36 local time (EST) and is Starliner's maiden mission to the International Space Station (ISS), part of NASA's Commercial Crew Program. The mission is intended to test the system's capabilities.
