Light microscope footage of a Vanella sp. amoeba, showing the movement of the naked amoeba in timelapse. The original capturing time was about 3 min. Vanella is common in freshwater and marina habitats and shows a fan-like form with a broad hyaline area in moving direction. The amoeba was found in a small freshwater brook habitat. Microscopic contrast method used: differential interference contrast. Captured field width: 0.4mm.
