Tylosaurus extinct marine reptile. Artwork of Tylosaurus (Tylosaurus proriger) hunting a plesiosaur underwater. This extinct animal lived 99-65 million years ago and belonged to the mosasaur group of marine lizards. It measured over 15 metres in length. It was a fast swimmer and ferocious hunter, feeding on fish, shark, other marine reptiles and flightless seabirds.
